This project, at GlaxoSmithKline's R&D facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire involved the production of a 3D asbuild of a highly complex and congested area that included a large amount of glass pipework. Projen were tasked with replacing these glass sections with a stronger and safer version made from metal.
Several chemistry modules were surveyed using photogrammetry, and the data from these surveys was used to create 3D models.
These models were used by Projen to communicate demolition and new build using sequential 3D rendered images. Examples can be seen below, click to enlarge any image.
The project was an undoubted success for Projen, who won the Bentley New Technology Adoption Award for their execution of the work.
