All these models are tag referenced using P&IDs supplied by Shell and delivered as an intelligent 3D PDMS model.
This survey, undertaken in the South China Sea - offshore Brunei - was completed in 2 site days by a team of 2 engineers. 350 photopairs were taken of 17 wellheads, surrounding structure and piping, with a total of 500 surveyed photogrammetric targets.
This data was supplied on CD in visual database format together with MaganJr software ready for 3D coordinate retrieval by plant operators upon leaving the platform.
The complete 3D model took 15 days to produce, using Magan, and was supplied cross-referenced with plant P&IDs to PDMS format. This PDMS model was also be used to test and qualify the AVEVA's new Vantage Enterprise NET product.

'The largest ever expansion project to an existing platform carried out by Shell Malaysia was successfully completed on 20th September 2002 with several major heavy lifts executed safely onto the M1 platform. A total of 1300 metric tons of facilities were lifted and assembled on platform.
