Agarta Park - Malaysia
This laser scan and 3D model build, commissioned by Roger Dean, was of a 1:40 scale sculpture of a theme park design to be built in malaysia.
Offset provided valuable marketing material and our engineers spatially evaluated the structural steel concept suggested by the client. A DVD quality flythrough movie and AutoCAD files were supplied. From initial scanning ( over 1 million points ) to complete model and movie production took just 5 days.
HM Treasury - London
For this demonstration, around 500 sqm of roof including all roof furniture was surveyed and photographed in 2 hours. Also a basement volume was surveyed and photographed within 1 hour. Subsequent modeling of the 3D as-built using Magan took 8 days to complete both areas. The basement geometry was completed to an accuracy of +/- 5mm as was the majority of the roof area, some high level and inaccessible areas being completed to +/- 25mm.
The complete 3D model can be seen above in Microstation, layered and named as per AEC (UK) standards. This 3D model together with a maganJr visual database could now be adopted as the starting point for a "single building model" approach to all AEC projects
